Jared Cowley
Jared Cowley is a 15 year-old freshman in high school. He is majoring in Theater Arts. He is a singer/model/actor who aspires to develop his career in show business to the level where he is able to perform in film, TV, and of course, Broadway,
With a passion for singing, Jared has been studying and performing since he was 10. In April 2011, he won the title "Lehigh Valley Idol". Previously, he was awarded the title of Lehigh Valley Junior Idol in 2008 and again in 2010. This role allows Jared to perform, and share his talents in showcases" throughout the NJ, PA & NY. Jared made it to the semi-finals for Simon Cowell's "X Factor" and was a finalist in the "Idols for a Cause" . A quote from one of the judges was "Take your time when picking your management and record label..." Jared has also been featured in a Broadway Bound Showcase where he performed in Midtown Manhattan, in the theatre district, at "Don't Tell Mama" Cabaret Club.
Jared studies performance coaching and acting. In NYC, studies at ACTeen with Rita Litton & Gino DiLorio. He has also worked with Joan Lynn Casting and Bill Hopkins in Film Director and Actor workshops. Jared is involved with Young Performers Group at Centenary Theater under the teachings of Michael Blevins. Jared has just landed his first film role playing Shawn in the movie Jackpot. The film will be released in 2012.
He has developed a love for modeling and worked with photographers such as Rick Reposh and Alison Conklin, out of PA, and Rick Day Studios, of NYC, and is signed with Generations Modeling Management NYC.
